My mother’s OP26 was purchased in Hong Kong and sent for repair after accidentally falling out of a pocket and breaking the crystal; the Batman was purchased at Play Watch Shop during a historical high, brand new with protective film, with a Saudi Arabian warranty card dated November 2018. Although it has depreciated somewhat, I believe the decline is limited given that it is discontinued, and I have worn it for over half a year since purchase.

Inspection and Repair Process:
Since I usually clean my watches with water and a soft brush, I took the opportunity while sending my mother’s OP26 with the broken crystal for repair to test the Batman’s water resistance. However, RSC charges a 2,000 NTD inspection fee, so I opted for the free inspection service instead to check the watch’s condition, assuming any issues with the gaskets would also be detected.
Due to residual glass shards, the RSC representative required a mandatory movement overhaul for the OP26. After a basic inspection, the technician found wear on the crown and, concerned about its impact on water resistance, offered a replacement at my expense. The costs were sapphire crystal NT$2,800 + crown NT$2,000 + movement overhaul NT$11,800, totaling NT$16,600.

I received two green work slips: the repaired watch was noted for pickup in 20 days with payment upon collection, while the inspected watch was pending notification.

Retrieval Process:
After waiting about 20 days, I received a notification from RSC that the watches were ready for pickup. For the inspected Batman, they simply stated there were no issues, but after wearing it for a few days, I noticed it had become more accurate; its error was originally +4 seconds/day, now nearly 0 seconds/day. I am unsure if this is due to regulation or demagnetization. For the repaired OP26, I found slight scratches on the dial caused by glass shards; if concerned, one could request a dial replacement. Measurement showed an error of +2.38 seconds/day. Payment could be made in cash or by card; I chose to pay by card.
Finally, I received the card payment slip, a unified invoice, a branded paper sleeve, a plastic watch case for the inspected Batman, and a genuine leather case for the overhauled OP26.
